Chimei Museum

is the southern counterpart of the National Palace Museum in Taipei – but instead of Chinese, its collection focuses on European artifacts. The impressive collection ranges from fine art, antique weapons, stuffed animals and fossils to probably the most extensive collection of musical instruments in the world. Chances are that if you wanted to play an original Stradivari violin, you would have to borrow it from Chimei!

Even more impressive is the fact that the whole collection was put together by a single private businessman who decided to built this museum and share it with everyone.
A lot of people were involved in the planning, construction and realization of the museum. We played our part in developing the visual identity and a system for the signage and designing over 100 icons to make it easier for everyone to find their way in this vast museum and the surrounding park.
